Bardiau

Champagne Bardiau stands out for its diverse terroirs and unique soil composition, which play a crucial role in crafting exceptional wines. Approximately 75% of the estate's vineyards are situated on a rare Portlandian soil, known for its high chalk content, bestowing a remarkable finesse and aromatic complexity to the Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. The remaining vineyards, planted on richer clay soils, contribute a roundness and generosity to the resulting champagnes. Emphasizing sustainability, Champagne Bardiau employs responsible viticulture practices to protect the environment and enhance biodiversity. The estate has achieved "Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne" certification by prioritizing natural methods and minimizing chemical interventions. Hand-harvested grapes from old vines are meticulously selected to ensure only the healthiest fruit is used. The winemaking process, which includes fermentation in both stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, allows for a harmonious balance between elegance and complexity. Each parcel is vinified separately to honor its distinct characteristics, with low dosage and extended aging on lees enabling the true essence of the terroir to shine through in every cuvée.
