What is the minimum age to order champagne?

Champagne is an alcoholic beverage: you must be 18 or older to order. Proof of age may be requested on delivery.

How is the champagne packed and shipped?

Each bottle is carefully packed in special protective material and shipped with a specialist wine courier, so your champagne arrives in perfect condition. Stylish gift packaging can be selected during ordering.

How long can I keep champagne?

A non-vintage champagne is best kept for a few years, cool, dark and lying down. Vintage champagnes can age longer. Once opened, enjoy the bottle within one to two days, sealed with a champagne stopper in the fridge.

At what temperature should I serve champagne?

Accepted Answer

Serve champagne at around 8 to 10 °C. Chill the bottle in the fridge for about 3 to 4 hours, or place it in a bucket of water and ice for 20 to 30 minutes. Too cold mutes the flavour.

What do brut, extra brut and demi-sec mean?

These indicate sweetness (dosage). Extra brut is very dry, brut is dry and by far the most common, and demi-sec is noticeably sweeter, lovely with desserts.

What is the difference between blanc de blancs and blanc de noirs?

A blanc de blancs is made exclusively from white grapes (chardonnay) and is usually fresh and elegant. A blanc de noirs comes from black grapes (pinot noir and/or pinot meunier), vinified white, and is often fuller and more powerful.
