Champagne house

Marchal Degesne

Marchal Degesne Champagne has its roots in the village of Sacy, where the family established their cellar in 1920. This Premier Cru estate has flourished across five generations, each contributing their unique vision and energy to the art of Champagne making. Today, mother-son duo Catherine and Quentin manage the estate, blending tradition with innovation as they uphold a legacy of passion and expertise. Nestled in the picturesque Petite Montagne de Reims, the estate spans 3.80 hectares, cultivating three hallmark grape varieties: Pinot Meunier, known for its expressiveness; Pinot Noir, which brings structure; and Chardonnay, celebrated for its refinement. The commitment to sustainable practices, including the cessation of herbicide use, has revitalized the soil, fostering a vibrant ecosystem. Each cuvée is meticulously crafted, with a minimum aging of three years, allowing complex aromas and a luxurious palate to develop. The result is a signature style marked by fine bubbles and notes of ripe fruit and brioche, offering a unique sensory experience that reflects the house's enduring spirit.
