Leclerc Mondet

Leclerc Mondet is a family-owned champagne house located in Trélou-sur-Marne, where generations of the Leclerc and Mondet families have cultivated a passion for winemaking since the 1960s. The estate spans 9 hectares, comprising around thirty plots of land, with a focus on organic viticulture that highlights the unique terroir of the Marne Valley. The vineyard primarily features Pinot Meunier, alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all nurtured without synthetic products, using sustainable practices that prioritize the health of the vines and the soil. The champagnes produced at Leclerc Mondet are known for their roundness, finesse, and distinctive fruitiness, featuring signature notes of honey and lime. The meticulous approach to vinification involves careful sorting and pressing of perfectly ripe grapes, followed by a natural fermentation process. Each cuvée is crafted to enhance the natural characteristics of the grapes, with low sulphite levels ensuring a pure expression of flavor. This dedication to quality and tradition continues under the stewardship of the current generation, Cédric and Fabien, who are committed to preserving the estate for future generations.
