Jacques Sonnette
Champagne Jacques Sonnette is nestled in the picturesque Marne Valley, specifically in the charming hamlet of Grand Porteron. This family-owned estate, spanning 8 hectares, has been cultivating its vineyards for generations, embodying a tradition of passion and dedication to the craft of winemaking. The region's clay-limestone subsoil, complemented by a mild climate, allows for the cultivation of expressive grapes, with Pinot Meunier dominating the landscape, supported by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The estate prides itself on its status as a Récoltant-Manipulant, ensuring that every aspect of production is managed in-house, from winter pruning to the final marketing of their cuvées. Jacques Sonnette's champagnes are characterized by the vibrant fruit and natural suppleness of the Pinot Meunier, which constitutes 65% of their plantings. The inclusion of Chardonnay adds a refreshing touch, while Pinot Noir contributes depth and complexity. The result is a range of sincere cuvées that reflect the authenticity of their terroir, offering a delightful balance of generosity and finesse that appeals to discerning palates.
