Champagne house
Gaston Collard
Gaston Collard is a family-run champagne house that has been crafting exceptional wines for five generations. Originally selling grapes to larger producers, the estate took a significant turn in 1982 when Michel and Jackie Collard decided to revive the family’s winemaking tradition in Bouzy, a renowned Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims. Today, the estate is known for its commitment to biodynamic viticulture, which emphasizes environmental sustainability and soil health. The terroir of Bouzy is celebrated for its outstanding Pinot Noir, benefiting from a unique exposure that enhances the grape's maturity and character. Under the leadership of Cyril and Amandine Collard since 2012, the estate has embraced biodynamic practices, resulting in champagnes that are not only purer and fresher but also more aligned with the natural balance of the vineyard ecosystem. This approach not only enriches the wines with vibrant mineral aromas but also makes them approachable and enjoyable for all enthusiasts.
