Champagne François Chaumont is rooted in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, a region renowned for its distinctive terroir and exceptional quality. Nestled between Épernay and Reims, the village of Puisieulx, despite its modest size of just 400 inhabitants, holds the prestigious classification of Grand Cru. With 5 hectares of vineyards, François Chaumont stands out in this landscape, cultivating a unique style that emphasizes the character of its grapes. The chalky soils and favorable exposures contribute to the depth and complexity of the wines produced here. Founded in 1994 by François Chaumont, who began with a small family vineyard, this house has developed a signature style that elegantly balances the robust character of Pinot Noir and the finesse of Chardonnay. Unlike many of its peers, the grapes are pressed and vinified in the nearby Marne Valley, allowing for a distinct approach in the winemaking process. The resulting champagnes are marked by their full-bodied freshness and multi-layered bouquets, showcasing the best of what this remarkable terroir has to offer.
