Erick Schreiber
Champagne Erick Schreiber is nestled in the southern reaches of the Champagne PDO, within the often-overlooked Barséquanais region. Since 1990, this estate has been dedicated to producing biodynamic champagnes, drawing from 6.5 hectares of vineyards that span both sides of the Seine. The estate showcases a remarkable diversity of grape varieties, including the classic Pinot Noir (70%), Chardonnay (17%), and Pinot Meunier (4.5%), alongside rare cultivars like Pinot Gris (2.5%) and Pinot Blanc (6%). Erick Schreiber's commitment to biodynamic viticulture reflects a philosophy that harmonizes the vine with nature. His journey began in 1987, leading him to embrace biodynamics as a means to enhance soil health and promote ecological balance. The resulting champagnes are characterized by purity, freshness, and a surprising depth of minerality. Notably, the pioneering "Astral" cuvée stands out as a sulphur-free offering, showcasing Schreiber's innovative approach to winemaking and his dedication to crafting exceptional biodynamic champagnes.
