Barthélémy-Pinot
Champagne Barthélémy-Pinot is nestled in the picturesque village of Moussy, just a stone's throw from Épernay, in the heart of Vallée de la Marne. This family estate, covering approximately 2.5 hectares, benefits from a unique terroir characterized by clay-limestone soils that impart a perfect balance of fruit maturity and natural freshness. The vineyard is a mosaic of plots in Moussy, Vinay, and Saint-Martin-d’Ablois, allowing for the cultivation of all three major Champagne grape varieties: predominantly Pinot Meunier, along with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. With a history spanning five generations, the estate has been meticulously nurtured through familial dedication, beginning with Paul Pinot’s grandfather's initial vineyard acquisition. Today, Laurent and Jérôme uphold this legacy, ensuring that their practices align with traditional Champagne craftsmanship while embracing sustainable viticulture, as recognized by their dual certification in High Environmental Value (HVE) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC). The style of Barthélémy-Pinot wines is marked by a harmonious blend of 50% Pinot Meunier, 40% Chardonnay, and 10% Pinot Noir, resulting in approachable, well-balanced cuvées that embody the convivial spirit of the region.
